Pet Quarters first opened on Payne Road in Scarborough, Maine, in the fall of 1993. This 15,000 square foot store was an immediate success, and helped fill the area's need with a huge array pet supplies, and an impressive selection of premium dog and cat foods. It also satisfied local aquarium hobbyists with 156 forty gallon aquariums teaming with fish of all kinds!

Today Pet Quarters operates ten stores of various sizes from Bangor, Maine, to Manchester, New Hampshire. This Maine-owned company has focused on stocking quality products, and evolving its inventory to keep up with needs and trends. Customers are a priority at Pet Quarters, and we aim for a high degree of customer service.
